Wylie ISD Orchestra Program, established in 2017, is dedicated to inspiring students through the joy of string music education. Our program nurtures musicianship, creativity, and collaboration for students of all skill levels. With a focus on performance excellence and personal growth, Wylie ISD Orchestra fosters a supportive community where students develop lifelong skills in discipline, teamwork, and artistic expression. We are proud to cultivate a vibrant orchestra tradition that enriches our schools and community.
The purposes of the Wylie ISD Orchestra Program are:

to develop an understanding and appreciation for symphonic and string orchestra repertoire

to train students in music to a point where they may participate in the performance of these great works and enable them to continue making music, whether as an avocation or a profession, after graduation from high school

to assist students in growing into responsible and successful members of society and possessing the essential characteristics of integrity, dependability, and loyalty
